An agent’s agent: why Compa asks before it writes

In football an agent works for a player. Compa works for you, and every change it wants to make waits for your yes.

Olivier Aubert

A draft, for the owner’s approval. Each note is published once they have read it.

Compa is the assistant inside Eskuadra. You ask it about your players, your open requests, a deal. It answers from your record, drafts the message you need, and when it wants to change something, it shows you a card and waits.

The rule

Compa proposes; a person confirms. A new request, an update on a player, a stage change on a deal: each one is a card with Confirm on it. Until you press it, the record is as it was. When you press it, the change is written in your name, with a small mark that says it came through Compa, so a colleague reading the history later knows both who decided and how.

Why we chose it

An agency’s record holds other people’s careers and other people’s money. The person who answers for it is the agent, to the player, to the club and to the family. An assistant that writes on its own would put decisions in the record that nobody took. An assistant that asks keeps the agent in charge and still saves the typing.

There is a second reason. Compa reads the record as the member who asked, with that member’s role. A scout who asks about a player gets what a scout may see. The same rule that keeps money out of a scout’s view keeps it out of Compa’s answer to that scout.

What that means in a week

A sporting director sends a message on WhatsApp on a Tuesday night. You paste it to Compa. It reads the club, the position, the age, the kind of deal and the deadline, and proposes a request. You check the four fields and confirm. On Wednesday you ask which of your players fit; Compa ranks them with the reasons and you decide who to pitch. On Thursday you ask for a first draft of the message to the club, change two sentences, and send it yourself.

What is sent, and what stays

For each answer, only your message and the records involved in it go to the model. Compa keeps a record of the model used, the token counts and the timing, and the text of your prompts and answers stays out of our logs. The agency’s admin can switch Compa off for the whole agency at any time.

What this note leaves for another day

This note is about the rule, and it holds for every version of Compa. Which tools each role gets, and how an admin narrows them, is being decided on its own and will have its own note.
