Players under 18: what an agency keeps, and how
Agencies look after players who are minors. The record follows the same rules as for everyone, with more care.
A draft, for the owner’s approval. Each note is published once they have read it.
Many agencies represent players who are under 18. Their record in Eskuadra is like any other player’s: a page with their age, position, club, contracts, documents, notes after a match and links to clips. The law expects more care with their data, and so do we.
The same rules, applied more carefully
Inside the agency, roles decide who sees a player’s private details and money. For a minor the agency should set those roles tightly: the agent who looks after the player and the admin, and that is all. A scout who adds a sixteen-year-old they saw on Saturday sees the football facts and leaves the private details to the agent.
Outside the agency, a club sees only the page the agent chose to send, with the columns the agent chose, for as long as the agent set. The link is long and random and stops working on its date.
What to keep, and what to leave out
Keep what the work needs: contract dates, the clubs, the documents a move will ask for, the notes that help the next conversation. Leave out what it does not need. A medical belongs on the player’s page when a move is being prepared; a note about a family argument belongs nowhere. The agency decides what it records about a minor, and the record makes that decision visible, because every document and every note carries who added it and when.
The family
Parents and guardians can ask the agency the same questions a player can: what is held about their child, a copy of it, a correction, or that a document be removed. When a player leaves, removing them removes their documents, links, notes and offers.
Where the rules come in
When a deal involves a minor, the checks that run while it is drafted include the rules that apply to minors, from the football regulations in the library. Like every check, they are an aid, and a specialist reviews them before anyone relies on them.
What this note leaves for another day
This note describes what the record does. What the law requires of an agency for a minor in each country is the agency’s and its lawyer’s question, and the compliance library is a draft until specialists have reviewed it.
